Dr Deepanshu Singh

Biography

Dr Deepanshu Singh is a Research Associate at the AIA (Aviation Impact Accelerator), Whittle Laboratory, where he helps develop evidence-based tools that unravel the complexities of aviation's pathways toward decarbonisation. Deepanshu has a PhD in engineering science from University of Oxford, during which he worked with Rolls-Royce, to conduct experiments for an aerothermal study of next generation low-emissions aircraft engines. His research, in the Oxford Turbine Research Facility, contributed towards enhancing the lifetime of Trent XWB engines powering the Airbus A350 aircrafts. Deepanshu has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Delhi. Parallel to his studies, Deepanshu held variety of leadership roles including President of the Oxford University Scientific Society, Chair of the ASME Student Advisory Committee, and captain of the Oxford tennis team.
