Outline of the Course
The course will be given primarily by the staff of the Whittle Laboratory, part of the Department of Engineering of the University of Cambridge. Lectures will be held at The Moller Centre, with visits to the Whittle Laboratory to demonstrate types of machines, experimental techniques and numerical methods. All the lecturers involved have close contacts with industry and the emphasis will be on the practical application of knowledge, rather than on academic research.
